polka, polka, polka dots!

I wore this to a friend's dinner party...My dinner date, Jessica, was wearing polka, polka, polka dots, too. Hers were cream polka dots on black so it was a nice yin and yang affect. I often find myself in these yin and yang dichotomies whether in personalities, hair color, or outfits....I guess in America there is a lot of opportunity for contrasts.

I haven't dyed my hair for years now. Last time I dyed it has to be more than six years ago....but for the past six months or so I've been fighting a growing urge to dye it a milky brown color.....I just hate, hate, hate dealing with roots and having to maintain it....I haven't even been to a beauty salon since I moved from Japan last, last September. I've just been letting it do whatever it wants....ah, do I take the plunge?? (btw. how cute is this girl???)

Geh Uhn Suk...I don't really know how to romanize Korean. I was watching videos of her on youtube...She was/is(?) an enka singer in Japan but I guess she had a career in Korea before she made the crossover..but man, she was so pretty when she was young and oddly enough she reminds me of what my mom used to look like when I was a kid....Yeah, my mom was/still is really pretty(this is not some backhanded compliment to myself as I do not really resemble her). :-)

Haven't done an outfit post in awhile. I get intermittently shy about posting these things.....I still don't feel completely at ease about it but then my friends who are abroad are like, "oh, i checked your blog and i liked your outfit" so then i feel kind of motivated...:-) anyways, here's a shot of me and jessica heading out to something a couple weeks ago.
