get on the curry train.

(Somehow this hat ended up looking more Britney Spears than train man....according to Aya.)

I still can't keep up with the writing but I can post pictures! Aya and I went to my favorite curry shop in the world. The owner is a kind old man who is nuts about trains. He has the nicest smile and always says hello when I pass by his store. Besides that the food comes out on a toy train(i have video footage; will post soon). I wish I could write more but I gotta go.

sneak peek.

My animals are traipsing around this month's issue of Nylon Japan. It comes out tomorrow(7/28). It's a special street snap issue and my animals are photographers. Try to find them all: bunny, cat, dog, bear! :)

stoic.

I don't mean to be this quiet-picture-post-blog-person. I want to write but lately I haven't had a chance to sit down and do so. I've been going to sleep at 3am everyday for two weeks. All of a sudden I had three projects at once and even though I do my drawings by hand I eventually do spend a lot of time on the computer just cleaning things up and so the space between my eyebrows feels like its been injected with evil computer gamma rays. The other day I cried when I watched the news and that made me realize how tired I am. But I am finished with all three of those projects, today, right now!!! I'm happy-tired, elated-tired.

So before I go to bed I thought I would post something.

Here are some pictures of cigarette vending machines. I'm into the changing lights.

you know what tokyo is missing?

my brother.

This is the day someone asked him where the good surf spots were, which was random since we were in Harajuku.

This is the tacoyaki you can get at our station. It tastes better when you have to share it, so i haven't gotten any probably since this picture.

We, Kims, like to play scrabble and use big words.

This place specializes in man meals; it was a meat bonanza.

baggy pants.

I found this girl at a bank in Shibuya. This is relaxed casual chic at its best. She has a lot of girly details like the white bow loafer pumps and the white leather bag but she balances it out really well with the baggy pants and the boyish t-shirt.

two of a kind.

i scouted them scouting cut models.

cutie cuties.

I found this cute girl in the June issue of Cutie.

My favorite thing about her outfit is her eyemask as head adornment. I don't think this trend will reach the masses(thank goodness) but I can see it making appearances at art openings in l.a.(on me)....
